Inside the app

What you can do

The launcher opens five tabs. Directory and chat are in the app, grouped by London area name.

  • Directory Search and browse local pet places. Filter by area (All London, North, South, East, West, Central). Open a page for listing details, rating when present, website, and chat. Maps open only if the listing has a map link.
  • Neighbourhood chat Join a room for North, South, East, West, or Central London, or open chat from a listing. Rooms are by area name, not live GPS nearby.
  • Home Demo pet named Buddy. Feed, play, walk, and sleep taps only last until you leave the session. They are not a medical log.
  • My Pets Save a register ID and an optional tracker name on the phone. No collar is linked. Favorites are not stored yet.
  • Health Opens the vet directory. The reminder button only shows a message. It does not set an alarm.
  • Add Add and import buttons are not wired yet. They do not create pet records.
  • Community impact A goal screen for adoption and a pet food bank. Vote buttons are local. Funding totals on that screen are demo figures, not money received.

Safety

Later idea: one kit

Not built: one product that holds register notes, a tracker collar, and area chat. Starlink is not on the pet.

Register ID Who the pet is. You can type the implant number on the phone. A vet scanner and the official register do the rest.
Tracker collar Would be where the pet is, with GPS or satellite hardware. Today you can only save a name. Not linked.
Your internet Phone, broadband, or Starlink at home if you already use it. Not a dish on the animal.

What exists now

Pet notes on the phone: register ID and optional tracker name. No live map. No satellite collar. No all-in-one strap. Neighbourhood chat is area rooms. The implant cannot be tracked over Bluetooth or GPS.

Who is in London Pets

Listings are grouped into ten families. The data set has 55 search keys. 16 have listings. Counts in the current file: pet shop London 248, vet London 80, cat cafe London 39, pet grooming London 24, dog walker London 24, doggy day care London 20. The remaining populated keys are smaller.

Other services covers training, photography, insurance, transport, and cat cafes. Named search keys for Battersea, Blue Cross, Mayhew, and RSPCA London exist in the data file, but those four lists are empty today. RSPCA shops and clinics, Mayhew, and Battersea Old Windsor still appear as single listings in other groups.

For businesses

Get listed

Many London pet businesses are already in the directory. Opening a listing shows public details and a way into an area chat room. The app also has a business dashboard, but it only shows chat stored on that phone. It is not a live inbox for every shop in the list.

Claim or update a listing

Email [email protected] with your trading name and area if you want a listing checked or updated. That is an email request, not an in-app claim button.

Privacy and contact

How we treat data

You can browse the directory without a password account. Profile details you type stay on the device. Chat can stay local or, when cloud chat is on, use Firebase. We do not sell personal information and we do not run the app on third-party ad networks. London Pets is not directed at children under 13.
